Art for or from the room ?

Hi anyone  ...........
                             news for my 'FROM SCRATCH daily handwritten journal' is still finding it difficult to get here, however, there is much progress and I'm almost there with all the pictures - will aim to get pictures done today (my current major problem is the photographs of pictures or lack of them). I think I will try and get bits of my journal here too - it gives a much better view of my thoughts about the project on a daily basis and that is the point of the whole project ie my development from scratch each day.
I have another idea too to report - making pictures or pieces of art FOR rooms - have done this in my own home (previous blogs show some of them) and I have a friend who has asked me to do something for her in a new self build house which is almost complete. When I thought about this idea as a new project, I was reminded of a Woody Allen film where his character dams anyone for choosing art to fit into a room ie complimenting colours etc.(Hannah and Her Sisters comes to mind as the title of the film ? although not entirely sure ?) anyway the Woody character is very much against the frivalous nature of choosing art to 'fit' into the room  as an accessory - my idea is about creating the art from the inspiration of the room rather than the other way around - so its OK !
On another matter, today I have a Tweet for Molly Makes (love this magazine) asking for craft-like blogs/shops etc to contact the creative editor - so am going to send this - might inspire me to update more oftern if I think anyone is reading. My lovely husband was reading it yesterday but I'm not sure anyone else does. I would love to get a comment if there is anyone out there. x

Am I a reluctant or ignorant blogger ?

Hi Everyone
have been working hard - new pictures etc are going well - publishing them on here not so well ! This is turning into a 'problems for the reluctant blogger' study. As usual its just the time - plus it must be my poor techie application skills - I put it down to my age and the fact that technology was not invented in my formative learning phase especially integrated technology. I need help - if only someone would invent the seamless transfer technique (from my thought to this page). However, back to my projects - From Scratch is going ok as mentioned already and the 'made @thepapersac lists are there - not done any yet but maybe today. Be back soon. x

I am where I am

Hi anyone
here I am again - ages since my last rambling - I have been busy working everyday and following my schedule - also adding each day to journalling but sadly have'nt made the leap to the blog !!! - Not giving up yet .... so here we are again.
Have been working on Sep picture from the From Scratch project - going OK - I hope to get photos of all the items in the collection to date as a review activity and allow revisions.Will get them up here in batches. Have also developed a notebook to jot down ideas for making things - mainly pretty items. Will hope to use free gifts etc from the likes of MollieMakes magazine (which I love) - also other web links I come across and mention anywhere worth looking. My aim is tomake the items and draw some skills/techniques from them and apply to my own work as well as just do them for fun.

New begining !

Hi anyone - yet another new begining - I live in hope of being disciplined enough to write up each day.....
Have a good structure for working now - little files and job lists etc and am into week 2 of the plan. I've done a review - this is clearly my method of getting to my goal and its something which I believe is part of my artistic journey - so no apologies for all the reviews.
New pictures are in progress and I'm almost on track with the From Scratch project - I have so many plans I need to contain them so they can happen. I do feel a greater sense of control over how I spend my time which is allowing a more artistic experience every day.
I'm going to display all the work in the From Scratch project together - will get some pictures later today.

Wow the weather is great !

Hi everyone - the weather here in Morpeth is great again - for the last few days its been warn enough to say its not winter anymore (for this week anyway)- What a difference my mood takes when its warm and sunny - almost everything is better.

My ART is slowly taking shape - loads of projects as usual all competing for a space in my rather short day. I usually apologise at this stage for not blogging but this is pointless so will not bother making excuses.

Mostly concentrating on the FROM SCRATCH project but lots of new interesting things going on - did some great 'free stitching' for a card and a little thing for a journal - will get some picture up tomoroow when I add some bits to it.

The March doll is coming on and I'm into April backgrounds/research. I've also asked some little friends to add to a basic picture and I will use their work to develop a chapter in the FROM SCRATCH project. Again will get some pictures up later today.
Am also looking to incorporate some designs on fabric - would like to make some things like a dress or bag or ? with the designs - have found a great company (http://spoonflower.com/)that facilitate such things.
