Wow the weather is great !

Hi everyone - the weather here in Morpeth is great again - for the last few days its been warn enough to say its not winter anymore (for this week anyway)- What a difference my mood takes when its warm and sunny - almost everything is better.

My ART is slowly taking shape - loads of projects as usual all competing for a space in my rather short day. I usually apologise at this stage for not blogging but this is pointless so will not bother making excuses.

Mostly concentrating on the FROM SCRATCH project but lots of new interesting things going on - did some great 'free stitching' for a card and a little thing for a journal - will get some picture up tomoroow when I add some bits to it.

The March doll is coming on and I'm into April backgrounds/research. I've also asked some little friends to add to a basic picture and I will use their work to develop a chapter in the FROM SCRATCH project. Again will get some pictures up later today.
Am also looking to incorporate some designs on fabric - would like to make some things like a dress or bag or ? with the designs - have found a great company (http://spoonflower.com/)that facilitate such things.

Thats it for now.

Such a good buy !

My copy of the 'Art at the Speed of Life' arrived today (could'nt wait for someone to buy it for me)and its much better than I thought. Often books have a few good bits but this is absolutely brilliant throughout - every page is filled with great ideas and examples. Will definitely be doing all the exercises.

Have produced my bigger image of the sketch I showed yesterday. The penicil lines are very light but will use colour to develop so this is just the begining

I've also spent time re-doing some art work in my house - just added bits here and there. These pictures are evolving and are part of a series of five - mainly bright pink ! and they are not there yet! Something will tell me to further develop when the times is right. Tell me what you think ?

No one ever leaves a comment - be the first !
Bye for now.

'Hi' on inspiration !

Yet another week almost over ... Quick update on my Feb face and a new March girl.

Been spending ages browsing lots of inspiring people and their art - the crescendo website is great for loads of ideas and Etsy is amazing too - could spend all day being inspired but losing the time to get down to doing !!
Am still useless at redirecting to these places - will aim to get there eventually.
On a more important matter - I see lots of people using art for their 'self development/healing' - its where I am and am looking constantly for others to share with. Would love to get the Pam Carricker book 'Art at the Speed of Life' - great title which sums up my world.I've heard lots about it and am following the blog tour re the launch. My birthday coming soon - perhaps someone will remember and gift it !

Thought for today

Hi anyone ... just a quick thought for today :
this is in relation to the FROM SCRATCH project (read last few postings) - I'm really interested in recording/analysing how my methodology and skills change over time - A whole year seems a life time away. The scary reality is, it will be here in no time !
Apart from painting which will be commented on later (needs to be the end of my day to give a daily review)- I've been looking in on London fashion Week - Vivienne Westwood - loads of inspiration and so 'edgy' without being shocking or unwearable - loved it all. Why the face paint on the models ? I like it but ? .. If I could I would have provided a link so you could see. Its a total blank in my technology brain - ie how to provide this link. Must learn asap.http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk
